The historic canals of Carillon and Grenville
Built between 1819 and 1830, the canals of Carillon and Grenville were mainly built for military purposes but they served rather for the transport of wood, vital industry of the economy of the region at that time. It is still possible to admire the remains of these canals that are now heritage and recreational sites.
